The Senegalese currency is the CFA Frank. The official rate of exchange is +- 655 to a Euro. Don't keep cfa's with you.
You can easily exchange money on the spot, don't do that at the airport. You might get swindled. You can pay carriers with Euro's. Take a few coins along.
To get cfa's there's no problem. In medium size towns such as Rufisque, Mbour, etc, you'll find cash distributors. There are also exchange offices that practise adequate rates. You can, of course, find banks in those cities.
In Mbour you will find a branch of the SGDB Senegal. It has a distributor which functions most of the time :-)
